Despite multiple appeals and meetings with public representatives, the hospitals said they received no concrete assurance or payments, forcing them to take this decision. Health Minister Satyakumar urged hospital managements not to stop medical services and assured that the issue would be resolved soon, but the network hospitals refused to withdraw their protest.

ASHA stated that it is demanding the immediate release of Rs. 670 crore in pending payments. Additionally, they expect a clear action plan for the remaining Rs. 2,000 crore dues before entering any further discussions with the government. The association warned that unless the government addresses these financial obligations promptly, it will have no choice but to halt NTR specialty healthcare services, impacting patients across Andhra Pradesh.
