Because of this situation, Vijay seeks appointment with Governor to present his claim and request an opportunity to prove majority on the Assembly floor.

Reports say the request was sent to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar. Officials may review the constitutional options before inviting the party to form the government.

Political observers say the Governor could ask the party to prove its strength through a floor test. Meanwhile, discussions with other parties continue as TVK works to secure enough support to form the next government in Tamil Nadu.
