According to officials, the seized arsenal includes seven modified projectile launchers, 11 locally made Pumpi projectile HE bombs, seven country-made single-barrel rifles, two country-made pistols, two pistol magazines, and three live pistol rounds. Security forces also recovered two Baofeng communication handsets, nine bulletproof jackets, six anklets, and nine ammunition pouches, suggesting the possibility of organised armed activity.

Authorities described the recovery as a major breakthrough in the intensified anti-weapon operations being carried out across the state. Security Forces have recently stepped up area domination and combing operations in several districts, resulting in repeated recoveries of arms, ammunition, explosives, and communication devices from hidden locations.

Meanwhile, essential supply movement along NH-37 continues securely. Officials reported that 318 vehicles carrying essential commodities moved safely under heightened security protocols, with convoys deployed along sensitive stretches to ensure uninterrupted flow of supplies.

Additionally, authorities have reinforced ground surveillance with 112 Nakas and checkpoints set up across both hill and valley districts. These security measures aim to curb illegal movement and maintain stability. No detentions were recorded during Monday’s checks.

The latest seizure underscores the persistent challenges in Manipur and highlights the determination of Security Forces to prevent illegal weapons from circulating in the region.
