UP Police on High Alert in border districts as unrest continues in Nepal. The Uttar Pradesh government has intensified security and issued helpline numbers to assist stranded Indian citizens. Acting on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s directions, DGP Rajiv Krishan ordered police units to remain vigilant 24×7 in all border areas. UP Police on High Alert reflects the seriousness of the situation as protests in Nepal turn violent.

Additional forces have been deployed in sensitive districts. Patrolling has been increased to ensure quick response. A special control room is now active at the Police Headquarters in Lucknow. Three helpline numbers—0522-2390257, 0522-2724010, and WhatsApp number 9454401674—will be operational round the clock.

The police social media unit is also monitoring posts related to Nepal. It has been directed to act quickly against sensitive or misleading content. Meanwhile, Nepal’s President Ram Chandra Paudel urged protesters to resolve the ‘Gen Z’ movement through dialogue after PM KP Sharma Oli’s resignation.

In recent days, violent demonstrations in Nepal claimed at least 19 lives. Protesters attacked several government buildings and set public property on fire. Authorities imposed curfews in many districts, including Dang. The Nepal Army appealed to citizens, especially the youth, to safeguard unity and cultural heritage.

Bomb threat triggers searches after an e-mail warning mentioned issues connected to Tamil Nadu politics. The message, received on Monday, was sent to the District Court.

The alert forced immediate security action in the capital. Police teams rushed to Cliff House, the Chief Minister’s residence, and the court complex. Sniffer dogs and bomb squads carried out thorough checks. Security personnel sealed the areas and restricted movement.

Officials confirmed that the message was under investigation. Cyber experts are tracing the source of the e-mail. Senior officers held meetings to assess the threat and plan further steps.

The scare created tension in the city, but authorities reassured the public that safety measures were in place. They added that security at key government locations would be tightened.

The incident comes at a politically sensitive time in Kerala, with references to Tamil Nadu politics raising further concerns. Police sources said they would continue investigations until the sender of the threat is identified.
