The High Court comments on VIP visits have drawn public attention after judges raised concerns over special privileges given to influential individuals at religious places.

The court strongly questioned why certain people receive special access while ordinary devotees wait in long queues. Judges observed that VIP arrangements should not inconvenience the public or disrupt regular darshan for worshippers.

During the hearing, the court reviewed reports and related records concerning a recent VIP visit. It noted that several devotees faced delays because authorities gave priority access to a well-known visitor. The bench said such incidents create an unfair situation for people who patiently wait for their turn.

The court also asked officials to ensure that future arrangements do not affect common devotees. Judges emphasized that religious places should treat everyone equally and that public convenience must remain a priority.

The High Court comments on VIP visits have reignited discussions on VIP culture and the need for equal treatment in public and religious spaces.

New Chief Justices for 5 High Courts will soon take charge as the Supreme Court Collegium has recommended fresh appointments. New Chief Justices for 5 High Courts include key courts such as Patna and Jharkhand, marking an important shift in judicial leadership.

The Collegium, headed by the Chief Justice of India, met recently to finalise these names. The decision comes as several high courts are facing vacancies due to retirements and transfers.

According to the recommendations, Patna, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, and Sikkim High Courts will get new Chief Justices. Senior judges from different high courts have been selected based on experience and seniority.

For Patna High Court, a senior judge from another state high court has been proposed. Jharkhand High Court is also set to get a new head from outside the state. Similar changes are planned for the remaining three high courts.

These recommendations will now be sent to the central government. After approval, official appointment notifications will be issued.

Legal experts believe these changes will improve court administration and speed up case hearings. The move is seen as crucial for maintaining stability and efficiency in the justice system.
