Chief Minister N. Rangasamy personally distributed the assistance and explained the goal of the scheme. He said the government created PKFAS to reduce the financial burden on families supporting children in medical and nursing education. Around 134 medical students and 165 nursing students will receive tuition fee support through this instalment.

Rangasamy highlighted that the government continues to invest in human resource development in the health sector. He added that skilled medical professionals will strengthen Puducherry’s public health system in the long run. Students and parents welcomed the decision, saying the support eases financial pressure during rising education costs.

The Chief Minister encouraged students to stay focused on their studies and contribute to healthcare services across the Union Territory. He also assured that the government would explore possibilities of increasing the financial assistance amount in future academic years.

The PKFAS scheme remains one of Puducherry’s most important initiatives for promoting affordable healthcare education. Many beneficiaries said the support motivates them to complete their degrees without interruption.
