Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the 350th Shaheedi Diwas Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur with a grand tribute in Kurukshetra on Tuesday. His visit brought together spirituality, heritage, and national pride, creating a powerful atmosphere of reverence for the revered ninth Sikh Guru.

To begin with, PM Modi watched a special cultural performance featuring live sand art. The presentation beautifully illustrated the journey of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, who is celebrated as Hind di Chadar for defending religious freedom and upholding human dignity. His sacrifice continues to inspire millions across the world.

After the cultural segment, the Prime Minister inaugurated Panchjanya, built in the honour of Lord Krishna’s sacred conch. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini accompanied him, and together they offered prayers for harmony and collective well-being. The inauguration added a spiritual depth to the day’s events.

Later, PM Modi visited the Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra, an immersive experience centre designed to showcase legendary episodes from the Mahabharata. Through digital installations and lifelike storytelling, the centre highlights Kurukshetra’s cultural significance and its deep connection with India’s spiritual history.

In addition, PM Modi released a commemorative stamp and a special coin dedicated to the 350th Shaheedi Diwas Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur. The move reflects the government’s effort to preserve the Guru’s message of courage, compassion, and righteousness for future generations.

Before reaching Kurukshetra, PM Modi hoisted the saffron Dharma Dhwaj atop the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The flag, adorned with sacred symbols such as Om, the Sun, and the Kovidara tree, symbolises a 500-year civilisational resolve finally fulfilled. He described the moment as one that heals “wounds of centuries” and brings spiritual unity to the nation.

Through these ceremonies, PM Modi connected the legacy of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji with India’s continuing journey of cultural revival, spiritual strength, and national harmony.
