The YSRCP leaders accused Dagumati Venkata Krishna Reddy of running a quarry in Kavali where illegal mining activities continue. They highlighted an incident when staff from former Kavali MLA Ramireddy Pratap Kumar Reddy’s office attempted to fly a drone at the quarry to gather evidence. The police filed an attempt to murder case against the staff, even though Dagumati was not present at the site.

The YSRCP also demanded an investigation into a reported Rs 900 crore scam involving the MLA. Kakani Govardhan Reddy warned that if the Collector fails to order a thorough probe, his party will call for a ‘Chalo Annavaram’ protest.
