Despite several rounds of talks with senior officials, the negotiations have failed to yield results.

The Primary Health Centers Doctors Association (PHCDA) has announced the suspension of outpatient (OPD) services in all primary health centers across Andhra Pradesh starting today. The association stated that if the government fails to address their demands, emergency services will also be withdrawn gradually.

The PHCDA has outlined a protest program, including rallies and sit-ins, which will be conducted from tomorrow until October 3. Their key demands include the restoration of in-service postgraduate (PG) quotas, timely promotions, allowances, and salary increments.

The doctors emphasized that their strike is aimed at drawing attention to long-standing grievances that have remained unresolved despite repeated appeals. While OPD services are suspended, authorities urge patients to seek medical attention at higher-level hospitals for urgent needs. The situation is being closely monitored by the government, which is expected to initiate discussions to resolve the ongoing dispute and resume healthcare services promptly.
