India’s Energy Reserves in India remain stable despite global oil market uncertainty. Officials said the country has enough crude oil and fuel stocks to meet demand. The assurance came after a high-level meeting led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh amid concerns about global supply disruptions.

Officials from the Petroleum Ministry said refineries across the country are operating normally. Petrol, diesel, and LPG supplies continue without disruption. Authorities confirmed that no fuel shortages or dry-outs have been reported at petrol stations or LPG distribution points.

In the past three days alone, more than 12.6 million LPG cylinders were delivered to households against 11.4 million bookings. This indicates strong distribution and stable reserves.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also urged citizens to reduce fuel consumption. He encouraged people to use public transport, carpool, and adopt electric vehicles. These steps can help conserve Energy Reserves in India during global market instability.

Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit has asked divisional commissioners and district officials to submit a detailed report within 48 hours after checking the ground situation.

Officials will visit districts to review LPG cylinder stock, pending deliveries, and the functioning of control rooms. They will also monitor daily press briefings and track the arrival of migrant workers in different districts.

The LPG crisis in Bihar has raised concerns about hoarding and black marketing. The chief secretary directed authorities to take strict legal action against anyone involved in illegal storage or sale of cooking gas cylinders. Border districts were asked to stay especially alert.

During a crisis management meeting with senior officials, the government also reviewed the backlog in LPG supply in several districts. Officials were instructed to clear pending deliveries quickly and ensure uninterrupted gas supply to households, government hostels, and community kitchens.

The LPG Crisis in Bihar has created new problems for consumers as the government helpline number meant for complaints is reportedly not reachable. Many residents said they tried calling the helpline several times but could not connect while facing issues with gas supply. The LPG Crisis has left many households struggling to get timely LPG cylinders.

Several complaints about gas shortages have also reached state authorities. Hospitals and community kitchens run by women’s self-help groups have reported difficulties in getting LPG cylinders. Officials have asked district authorities to review the situation and resolve around 100 complaints received from different areas.

Consumers also reported problems with LPG booking and delivery. Some people said they received delivery confirmation messages but did not actually receive the cylinders. Others claimed that they were asked to pay more than the official LPG price.

The shortage has also affected school mid-day meal programs. In some schools, cooks have started using wood or coal after LPG cylinders ran out, raising concerns for more than one crore students who depend on the scheme.
