										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p data-start="229" data-end="527">Around 90 Indian-Americans participated in an interactive session with a parliamentary delegation led by BJP MP P.P. Chaudhary in New York. The diaspora was lauded for promoting India and strengthening US-India ties. Parliamentarians invited the community to join the “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision.</p>
<p data-start="529" data-end="916">The 12-member delegation, including N.K. Premachandran, Nishikant Dubey, Poonamben Maadam, Vivek Tankha, Brijesh Chowta, Vamsi Gaddam, Bharat Mathukumilli, Rajeev Rai, Phangnon Konyak, Medha Kulkarni, and Ujjwal Nikam, represents India at the United Nations General Assembly. They met Jamaican Ambassador Brian C.M. Wallace to discuss UN priorities, including Security Council reforms.</p>
<p data-start="918" data-end="1179">The delegation also interacted with Amandeep Singh Gill, UN Secretary General’s envoy on Technology. They discussed AI governance, Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), data protection, and India’s leadership in inclusive innovation and technology development<a href="https://www.indiapodcast.com/">.</a></p>
<p data-start="1181" data-end="1554">Indian MPs also delivered statements in UN committees. Poonamben Maadam highlighted ASHA workers and women’s empowerment. Ujjwal Nikam stressed compliance with responsibilities and contributions to trust funds. Bharat Mathukumilli outlined India’s focus on ICT, science, and culture to advance Sustainable Development Goals and collaboration with middle-income countries<a href="https://www.aninews.in/news/world/us/multi-party-delegation-engages-with-indian-diaspora-in-new-york20251011031805/">.</a></p>
