India eyes revenge against Pakistan when the two teams meet in a Super Six match of the ICC Men’s U-19 World Cup in Bulawayo on Sunday, February 1, 2026. The Indian team is looking to avenge their 191-run loss to Pakistan in the U-19 Asia Cup final last December in Dubai.

India had earlier defeated Pakistan by 90 runs in the group stage of the same tournament, but the final loss remains a sore point for the Ayush Mhatre-led side. India are also expected to continue their ‘no handshake’ policy with Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor by the Indian Armed Forces.

So far, India has had a dominant run in the U-19 World Cup. They beat the USA, Bangladesh, and New Zealand in the group stage and thrashed hosts Zimbabwe by 204 runs in their first Super Six match. Wicket-keeper Abhigyan Kundu (183 runs) and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (166 runs) have been consistent, while Vihaan Malhotra’s unbeaten 109 against Zimbabwe bolsters India’s batting strength.

On the bowling front, Henil Patel (10 wickets) and Udhav Mohan have impressed, along with skipper Mhatre, who took three wickets against Zimbabwe. RS Amrish has also contributed crucial breakthroughs.

Pakistan comes into the match with confidence after defeating New Zealand by eight wickets in their Super Six game. Opener Sameer Minhas, who scored 172 in the Asia Cup final, remains a major threat. Right-arm pacers Ali Raza (12 wickets) and Abdul Subhan (10 wickets) have led Pakistan’s bowling attack, challenging India’s batters.

Sunday’s clash promises high intensity as India eyes revenge against Pakistan, aiming to continue their unbeaten World Cup run and overcome the memory of the Asia Cup defeat.
