Expedition organisers said harsh weather, exhaustion, and low oxygen levels created serious challenges during the descent.

The deaths increased the season’s Everest toll to five. Rescue teams are still working to recover one body from the high-altitude “death zone,” where oxygen levels remain dangerously low. Officials also confirmed that another Indian climber needed rescue support during the expedition.

This year, hundreds of climbers attempted to scale Mount Everest during a short weather window. Experts continue to warn about overcrowding and risky conditions near the summit.
