During the centenary celebrations, he explained that Baba’s teachings—“Love All, Serve All, Help Ever, Hurt Never”—still inspire millions. Moreover, he praised Baba as a divine presence who offered a clear path of peace, love, and service.

Naidu emphasized that these teachings strengthened service-based values across the nation. Additionally, he urged everyone to spread Baba’s principles of love, dharma, service, and peace. He called upon the Sathya Sai Trust, Seva Dal, and devotees to work together for future generations. Consequently, he noted that many individuals, including atheists, were drawn toward spirituality through Baba’s influence.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Baba viewed human service as divine service. For this reason, the state government declared Baba’s birthday a state festival. Besides that, he stated that Baba’s philosophy shaped many social and spiritual movements worldwide.

Naidu added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisions the world as one family. Furthermore, he said the PM is promoting yoga, Ayurveda, and meditation internationally to showcase India’s spiritual strength. Finally, he expressed happiness in participating in the event and wished for greater strength to serve the people with deeper commitment.

What started as a small gathering has become one of Hyderabad’s biggest cultural events. The Pedha Sadar, organised by Mallaiah Yadav’s family, continues to keep the 79-year-old tradition alive.

Devotees create a symbolic Mount Govardhan using cow dung, sweets, and rangoli. When the first buffalo steps on the lit diya, the festival officially begins, marking the bond between humans and cattle.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the passing of former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Wednesday. Odinga died at the age of 80 in Koothattukulam, Kerala, following a heart attack during his morning walk. PM Modi called him a “cherished friend of India” and recalled their association since his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister.

Odinga had arrived in Kerala six days ago for Ayurvedic treatment. He collapsed around 6:30 a.m. and was rushed to Sreedhareeyam Ayurvedic Eye Hospital but could not be revived. His body is kept at Deva Matha Hospital, Koothattukulam, pending repatriation.

A towering figure in Kenyan politics for over four decades, Odinga served as Prime Minister from 2008 to 2013. He played a key role in national reconciliation after post-election violence and was a long-time opposition leader heading the Orange Democratic Movement.

PM Modi noted Odinga’s admiration for Indian culture, Ayurveda, and efforts to strengthen India-Kenya ties. Kenyan embassy officials in New Delhi are coordinating with Kerala authorities for the body’s repatriation. Local leaders and the Kenyan diaspora expressed shock and grief, while a formal statement from the Kenyan government is awaited.
