The security sweep underscores the ongoing crackdown against banned militant outfits in the region.</p>
<p data-start="1157" data-end="1592">The most significant discovery occurred on <strong data-start="1200" data-end="1215">November 20</strong>, when officers located a hidden cache in the <strong data-start="1261" data-end="1285">Urangpat hill ranges</strong> under <strong data-start="1292" data-end="1324">Yaingangpokpi Police Station</strong>. The recovered items included a <strong data-start="1357" data-end="1390">pistol with an empty magazine</strong>, a <strong data-start="1394" data-end="1410">tear-gas gun</strong>, a <strong data-start="1414" data-end="1448">country-made bolt-action rifle</strong>, a <strong data-start="1452" data-end="1465">.22 rifle</strong>, <strong data-start="1467" data-end="1494">three tear-smoke shells</strong>, <strong data-start="1496" data-end="1535">11 live rounds of assorted calibres</strong>, and <strong data-start="1541" data-end="1569">25 empty cartridge cases</strong> of 7.62 mm and 9 mm.</p>
<p data-start="1594" data-end="1902">A day earlier, on <strong data-start="1612" data-end="1627">November 19</strong>, three individuals linked to insurgent groups were apprehended during separate operations in <strong data-start="1721" data-end="1736">Imphal East</strong> and <strong data-start="1741" data-end="1764">Bishnupur districts</strong>. Among them was <strong data-start="1781" data-end="1808">Bidyasagar Ngangom (19)</strong>, a PREPAK operative from Kwakeithel Konjeng Leikai, arrested under Porompat Police Station.</p>
<p data-start="1904" data-end="2224"><strong data-start="1904" data-end="1941">Salam Sadananda Singh (Bablu, 28)</strong>, a KYKL cadre, was detained from Phaknung Makha Leikai under Lamlai Police Station. Authorities said he had been involved in extorting local residents. <strong data-start="2094" data-end="2139">Wangkhem Romesh Singh (Rome/Khagemba, 43)</strong>, another KYKL member, was arrested in Moirang Ngangkha Leikai, Bishnupur district.</p>
<p data-start="2226" data-end="2518">Officials confirmed that investigations into all three cases are ongoing, and <strong data-start="2304" data-end="2335">further searches may follow</strong> as part of continuing security measures. These operations highlight the commitment of <strong data-start="2422" data-end="2472">Manipur police to dismantle insurgent networks</strong> and secure volatile areas across the state.</p>
