The association pointed out that thousands of NRIs from Andhra Pradesh reside in countries like the US and UAE, and setting up consulates would simplify NRI-related services. As an alternative, it proposed developing international-standard hotels at the site to promote tourism and generate steady revenue.

Despite the palace’s grandeur, the facility currently remains underutilized, with monthly maintenance costs touching ₹25 lakh. The state government is reviewing all proposals to ensure that the property contributes effectively to economic and diplomatic development.
