The BCCI president’s role carries weight nationally and internationally. With ICC elections approaching, the choice of leadership is closely monitored. If elected, Manhas would join former players like Sourav Ganguly and Roger Binny in administrative leadership.

Arun Dhumal will continue as IPL Governing Council chairman, while Rajiv Shukla is expected to remain Vice-President.

The election process begins with nomination filing on September 21. Scrutiny and final candidate list publishing will follow on September 23, with voting scheduled during the AGM on September 28 if necessary.
