Speaking to locals, Kishor mocked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and said the CM might leave Bihar and “go to Delhi or even England.” His remark highlighted what he called the growing gap between political leaders and citizens facing unemployment and migration problems.

Kishor also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. He said Bihar voters supported these leaders with hope for development, but the state still struggles with jobs and economic growth.

The strategist-turned-politician said the government promised jobs for one crore people but has not delivered the expected results so far. He added that migration continues because many young people cannot find work in Bihar.

Prashant Kishor on Nitish Kumar has now become a major talking point in Bihar politics.

The Bihar Assembly Election Results 2025 are set to reveal the outcome of one of the most intense political battles the state has seen in recent years. This year’s polls made history with a record-breaking voter turnout of 66.91%, the highest in Bihar since elections began in 1951. Women voters played a crucial role, registering an unprecedented 71.6% turnout, far ahead of the 62.8% turnout among men.

The Election Commission deployed a massive workforce to ensure smooth polling across the state. Nearly 8.5 lakh election officials and 1.4 lakh polling agents managed booths for 2,616 candidates. Additionally, the Election Commission appointed 243 general observers, 38 police observers, and 67 expenditure observers to monitor the process. For the first time, 16 international delegates from six countries visited Bihar as observers.

As the results unfold today, the key fight is between the ruling JD(U)-led NDA and the Opposition RJD-led Mahagathbandhan. Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party claims it has emerged as a viable alternative, though most exit polls suggest limited impact. These exit polls overwhelmingly predict a comfortable win for the NDA. Tejashwi Yadav, however, has dismissed these surveys, accusing poll agencies of acting under BJP influence to manipulate the narrative and put pressure on Election Commission officials.

The election campaign was marked by sharp personal attacks and allegations. Both alliances traded accusations over governance failures, rising crimes, corruption, Chhath-related controversies, and what each side labelled as “jungle raj.” Several high-profile murders in the months leading up to the election intensified the political slugfest.

Today’s results will determine whether Nitish Kumar, known for his shifting political alliances, secures a 10th term as Chief Minister, or whether voters choose Tejashwi Yadav to lead a new chapter in Bihar politics.

Ashok Choudhary, Bihar’s Rural Works Minister and JD(U) leader, has slapped a ₹100 crore defamation notice on Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor. The notice demands either proof of Kishor’s corruption allegations or a public apology within one week. If not, Choudhary warns of criminal proceedings and a civil suit.

The defamation notice stems from a press conference held by Prashant Kishor in Patna on September 19, 2025. During the event, Kishor accused Choudhary of involvement in a ₹200 crore land deal. Ashok Choudhary responded swiftly, stating that the claims were “wild, frivolous, and defamatory,” and aimed at tarnishing his reputation.

Ashok Choudhary has served Bihar for over three decades and emphasized his clean record and academic credentials, including a presentation at Harvard University. He clarified that he has no links to MVV Nyas, the entity mentioned in Kishor’s allegations.

Ashok Choudhary’s ₹100 crore defamation notice marks a serious escalation in Bihar’s political landscape, especially with assembly elections approaching. The minister insists that Kishor’s statements were made with malicious intent and must be retracted.

Jan Suraaj leader Prashant Kishor has raised serious allegations against Bihar BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal. He said Jaiswal was wrongly given a clean chit in the 18-year-old Rajesh Sah murder case. Prashant Kishor demands CBI probe against Dilip Jaiswal, stressing that only an independent investigation can bring out the truth.

According to Kishor, Rajesh Sah was killed in Kishanganj, but the case was covered up. He claimed that police acted under pressure and protected Jaiswal. The victim’s family, along with Jan Suraaj Party, has now filed a petition in the High Court seeking a fresh investigation.

Senior lawyer Vaidhi Giri, who is representing the case, said the police ignored key evidence. Kishor added that the then SP’s wife got a medical college admission with Jaiswal’s help, proving political influence.

Kishor said the family has not given up hope and wants justice. He insisted that a CBI probe would finally reveal the truth. “If CBI investigates, facts will come out clearly,” he stated.

The Jan Suraaj Party chief called RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav the “Duryodhan of corruption.” At the same time, he praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as an honest leader who has no personal link to corruption. Kishor said Nitish remains personally clean, even though his government has faced criticism over corruption among officials and ministers.

As the Assembly elections approach, political clashes are intensifying. Kishor argued that Tejashwi Yadav has no moral authority to call Nitish the “grandfather of corruption” because he himself became rich at a young age. According to Kishor, RJD leaders cannot oppose corruption since they are deeply entangled in it. He also accused Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi of turning Bihar into a symbol of corruption, where crime, unemployment, and migration worsened during their 15-year rule.

Kishor further added that the Lalu-Rabri era had made Bihar a global example of misrule. He claimed Tejashwi has achieved nothing despite having political opportunities and has only collected properties. With these sharp words, Kishor set the stage for a heated election battle, praising Nitish while slamming RJD leaders.

Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party has launched the Family Benefit Card scheme ahead of Bihar elections. The focus key phrase Prashant Kishor Family Benefit Card highlights the promise of ₹20,000 monthly support for families. The campaign has quickly gained traction, with the party claiming over 50 lakh registration forms collected since August 27.

Under the Family Benefit Card, families are promised five types of benefits: ₹12,000 monthly for job security, ₹2,000 for pensions to the elderly, widows, and disabled, ₹2,500 for labor support in farming, ₹1,000 for school education, and loans of up to ₹5 lakh for women at just 4% interest along with ₹2,500 assistance. The party says only one family member needs to register for eligibility.

The scheme has stirred political debate in Bihar. RJD is promoting its own “Mai Bahin Maan Yojana” with ₹2,500 for women, while BJP’s Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary labeled Kishor’s plan as a fraud. JD(U) leader Vijay Chaudhary also dismissed it as empty promises.

Kishor, addressing public gatherings during his yatras, appealed for votes by stressing education and jobs over symbolic politics. He also hinted at contesting elections, possibly from Raghopur or his hometown Karahgar, signaling his intent for direct political entry.
