AAP sarpanch Jarnail Singh of Valtoha lost his life after two outsiders shot him during a wedding ceremony at a resort in Amritsar. As a result, panic spread among guests, and the incident drew sharp political attention.

Immediately after the incident, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann spoke to Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav. He took a detailed briefing on the investigation and the steps taken so far. Subsequently, he directed the police to identify the attackers quickly and arrest them without delay.

Moreover, CM Mann warned that the government would not show any leniency. He stated that crimes against elected representatives attack democracy itself. Therefore, strict punishment will follow once the police catch the accused.

Meanwhile, Punjab Police launched a focused manhunt and began examining CCTV footage, eyewitness statements, and forensic evidence. Senior officers continue to supervise the probe to ensure fast results.
