The statement “Anant Singh Party Hain Kya?” created political buzz in Bihar after Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary responded to comments made by JDU MLA Anant Kumar Singh on ending the state’s liquor ban. The remark came when reporters asked him about Singh’s demand to remove prohibition.

Mokama MLA Anant Singh recently urged the government to lift the liquor ban. He claimed the policy has failed and argued that illegal alcohol and other harmful substances are increasing among youth. He also said he plans to discuss the issue with Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.

Responding to this, Vijay Choudhary dismissed the demand and said the statement was only Singh’s personal opinion. He asked, “Anant Singh Party Hain Kya?” and stressed that government policy will not change.

He also clarified that the Bihar government remains committed to continuing the prohibition law and will follow the policy direction set earlier by former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

After the Nitish Kumar Resignation from the Bihar Legislative Council, senior JD(U) leader Ashok Choudhary became emotional while speaking to the media. Nitish Kumar resigned from the council as part of a political move linked to his expected entry into the Rajya Sabha.

Choudhary said he considers Nitish Kumar his political mentor and father figure. While addressing reporters, he struggled to control his emotions and said that no other leader in the country can match Nitish Kumar’s leadership and personality.

He shared several memories from the past and said he had worked closely with Nitish Kumar in the House for about 12 years. According to him, Nitish always respected colleagues and even opponents, and often helped ministers during difficult debates.

Choudhary also recalled an incident from his time as education minister when Nitish Kumar asked him to strictly stop cheating in board exams to protect Bihar’s image. He said Nitish Kumar always remained concerned about the state’s reputation and development.

He added that Bihar politics will strongly feel Nitish Kumar’s absence in the legislature, though he will continue to guide the party and the state.

The JDU National President Election will take place on March 27, and party leaders have almost finalized the name of Nitish Kumar for the top post. The JDU National President Election is expected to be a smooth process, as no strong contest is likely within the party.

The party has already announced the schedule. Candidates can file nominations on March 22, while March 24 is the last date to withdraw names. If more than one candidate files, voting will be held on March 27.

However, leaders indicate that a contest is unlikely. In the past, the party has selected its president through consensus. Sources say Nitish Kumar will likely be re-nominated for the post.

This election is important for the party’s future strategy, especially as Bihar politics is seeing major changes. Nitish Kumar’s leadership is expected to bring stability and continuity to the organization.

RJD leader Rohini Acharya attacked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar after the Nishant political debut in the Janata Dal (United). She questioned his stand on dynasty politics and accused him of following the same path he once criticized.

The Nishant political debut has triggered a fresh political debate in Bihar. Rohini Acharya said Nitish Kumar had often spoken against family-based politics. Now, she claimed his son’s entry into JD(U) shows a clear contradiction in his earlier statements.

Nishant Kumar recently joined JD(U) and officially entered active politics. Party leaders welcomed the move and said he could strengthen the organization in the state.

However, opposition leaders reacted quickly. Rohini Acharya mocked the development and said the move exposes Nitish Kumar’s double standards on dynastic politics.

The issue has sparked a new political clash between JD(U) and RJD leaders. Many observers believe Nishant’s entry could shape the party’s future leadership and influence Bihar politics in the coming years.

Party leaders said the decision comes after repeated requests from workers who wanted him to take part in public life.

The Nishant Kumar political entry comes at a time when discussions about Rajya Sabha nominations from Bihar are also increasing. Leaders in JD(U) said Nishant may take on an important responsibility in the party after joining.

For many years, Nitish Kumar stayed away from dynasty politics and did not allow family members to enter public life. However, party leaders and supporters recently urged Nishant to step forward and contribute to politics.

Five Rajya Sabha seats from Bihar are currently up for election. The last date to file nominations is March 5, which has increased political activity and speculation in the state.

Lalan Singh also commented on political strategist Prashant Kishor, saying Kishor has no place in JD(U) now.

Speaking to the media, Lalan Singh repeated that JDU does not need RCP Singh. He said the party has grown stronger under Nitish Kumar’s leadership and does not require leaders who left in the past. Singh highlighted that RCP Singh’s and Kishor’s earlier predictions about JD(U)’s poor performance in elections did not come true.

RCP Singh had joined Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party before the last Bihar polls. There were rumors he might return to JD(U) after the election results. Lalan Singh rejected all such reports, emphasizing that the party is focused on future growth without relying on former leaders.

He also praised Nitish Kumar for steering JD(U) to a better performance than expected. According to Singh, the party’s success proves that it does not depend on external advisors or returning leaders.

Nitish Kumar is set to become Bihar’s Chief Minister for the 10th time after the NDA’s big victory. As this happened, the debate on Nishant Kumar political entry started again. Many JDU leaders had earlier asked Nishant to enter politics. Now, Nitish’s elder brother Satish Kumar has said that the time is right for Nishant to take this step. He also spoke to Nishant about the responsibilities that come with public life. Satish repeated that Nishant Kumar political entry should happen only if Nishant truly wants it.

Satish explained that politics is not easy. He said Nishant must understand the challenges before joining public life. He added that the NDA’s victory shows people trust Nitish Kumar’s work for women, the poor, and backward groups.

Satish also dismissed questions about Nitish’s health. He said Nitish worked hard during the campaign and even addressed 10 meetings in one day. According to him, the election result shows people approved Nitish Kumar’s work.

Before the elections, posters demanding Nishant’s entry appeared in Patna. But Nishant stayed away from campaigning. After the results, he said the people rewarded his father for 20 years of service and that Nitish Kumar will continue to work for Bihar’s development.

The JDU expelled 16 members, including Gopalpur MLA Gopal Mandal, for anti-party activities. This move reflects the party’s effort to maintain discipline during the Bihar assembly elections 2025.

The expelled leaders include former ministers Shailesh Kumar and Himraj Singh, former MLCs Sanjeev Shyam Singh, Sanjay Prasad, and Ranvijay Singh, and former MLAs Maheshwar Prasad Yadav, Sudarshan Kumar, and Shyam Bahadur Singh. Others like Prabhat Kiran, Dr. Asma Parveen, Asha Suman, and Vivek Shukla were also removed.

The JDU stated that these leaders acted against the organization after being denied party tickets. The decision sends a clear message that indiscipline will not be tolerated during this crucial election phase. The JDU expels 16 leaders in Bihar to protect its unity and ensure a strong performance in the polls.
