The phrase BJP for 45, Nitin for 45 has sparked intense political discussion across the country. The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed Bihar minister and five-time MLA Nitin Naveen as its acting national president, surprising many senior leaders. The move came just before the election of the next BJP president.

Nitin Naveen left Patna for Delhi after his nomination. Party insiders see this step as a clear signal of trust in a grassroots leader with strong organisational skills. BJP is completing 45 years, and Nitin Naveen is also 45 years old, making the slogan BJP for 45, Nitin for 45 symbolically powerful.

Several heavyweight names were in circulation. Leaders like Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhupendra Yadav, Manohar Lal Khattar, and Keshav Prasad Maurya were discussed. Yet, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah once again surprised everyone.

Political analysts say Nitin’s clean image, repeated victories from Bankipur, and organisational success played a major role. His elevation also sends a message that performance matters more than caste size.

If confirmed as full president in 2026, Nitin Naveen will become the youngest BJP president and the first from Bihar, marking a historic shift for the party.

The meeting highlighted that Healthcare Projects in Ladakh remain a top priority for the UT administration and must move forward quickly to benefit citizens.

During the discussion, LG Gupta thanked the Union Government for its continued support. He updated JP Nadda on the progress of Ladakh’s first Medical College and the proposed Nursing College in Leh. Land allotment, central funding and proposal submissions are already complete. He requested faster administrative approvals so both institutions can start soon.

The upgrade of District Hospital Kargil from 100 to 200 beds also came up. Construction work is moving ahead, but the approval of essential medical posts still needs urgency.

LG Gupta further called for a CGHS wellness centre in Leh to support central employees and pensioners living in Ladakh. He also sought full PMJAY coverage for the ST population due to higher treatment costs in the region.

Other proposals included a dedicated AYUSH Hospital and an AIIMS campus in Leh to improve tertiary care and medical research. JP Nadda welcomed the ideas and assured full cooperation from the Ministry.

In a significant political and administrative development, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat are scheduled to visit Manipur this week, sources confirmed on Monday. The high-profile visit comes amid growing speculation over the formation of a new government in the state, which has been under President’s Rule since February 13, 2025.

According to officials overseeing the visit, Mohan Bhagwat will be in Manipur for a two-day tour beginning November 20, while JP Nadda is expected to arrive on November 21. Though the exact purpose of their visit has not yet been disclosed, party insiders believe discussions surrounding political restructuring and ground-level assessment of peace and rehabilitation initiatives may be key agendas.

This development follows the recent visit of BJP national general secretary (organisation) BL Santhosh, who met six party MLAs considered potential contenders for the chief minister’s post. Political uncertainty continues to grip the state after former CM N Biren Singh resigned on February 9, following nearly two years of ethnic conflicts that resulted in over 260 fatalities and 50,000 displacements.

Meanwhile, Indian Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi has hinted that President Droupadi Murmu may also visit Manipur soon, acknowledging visible improvement in public confidence, mobility, and inter-community engagement. Events like the Shirui Lily Festival in Ukhrul and the Durand Cup football tournament have helped restore normalcy, he added.

Though Rashtrapati Bhavan has not issued an official confirmation, security agencies in both Imphal and Churachandpur have been directed to remain prepared between December 8 and 10.

The series of high-level visits is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the next political chapter and long-term peace strategy in Manipur.

Nitish Kumar road campaign Bihar continued despite the stormy weather caused by Cyclone Montha. Bad weather grounded most political leaders, but Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar chose the road instead of a helicopter to reach voters. His determination showed his commitment to the Bihar elections.

While other leaders like JP Nadda, Tejashwi Yadav, and Mukesh Sahni cancelled their rallies, Nitish Kumar carried out road shows in Samastipur, Darbhanga, and Madhubani. Large crowds gathered to see him during the rainy campaign. JDU’s working president Sanjay Jha joined him in several districts including Morwan, Ujiarpur, Rosera, and Warisnagar.

For three days, continuous rain stopped air travel across Bihar. Fourteen of sixteen helicopters stayed grounded, but Nitish Kumar’s road campaign Bihar drew attention for its energy and discipline. Holding six to seven public events in a day, he proved his resilience amid tough conditions. The Chief Minister’s active participation even in bad weather answered opposition’s doubts about his health and leadership strength.

The event took place at Hotel Maurya, Patna, to announce the NDA’s joint promises for the Bihar Assembly elections. The Bihar NDA press conference started half an hour late and ended abruptly, creating confusion and speculation.

Opposition leaders questioned why no major NDA leader addressed the media. Congress observer Ashok Gehlot claimed the manifesto was released in only 26 seconds and accused the leaders of avoiding tough media questions. He called it unhealthy for democracy.

Later, Upendra Kushwaha clarified that all leaders had prior campaign schedules and could not stay long. He said the purpose was only to release the manifesto together. Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary later spoke to the media, highlighting the NDA’s development goals and Nitish Kumar’s vision for Bihar.

Nadda’s residence. Top leaders including Amit Shah and B.L. Santosh attended the discussions. Sources confirmed that BJP finalized 113 candidates though it plans to contest around 102 seats after the alliance split.

Nearly 80% of sitting MLAs are being re-nominated, showing the party’s trust in its current leadership. However, a few new faces will be added to balance internal surveys suggesting fresh candidates could counter anti-incumbency. The list will receive final approval at the Central Election Committee meeting led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

With this, BJP aims to maintain stability while adding energy through new contenders. Bihar’s political stage is now set for an intense electoral battle where the Bihar Elections 2025 will decide the state’s political direction.
