The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a major step towards strengthening its capital region. Minister Parthasarathi announced that the state cabinet has approved ₹904 crore to develop infrastructure in 29 villages under Amaravati’s capital limits. The decision is expected to speed up long-pending works and provide basic facilities for residents in the capital zone.

Alongside this, the cabinet cleared multiple key projects. Approval was given for setting up a 250 MW solar power project at Myalavaram in Kadapa district. To support this, 200 acres of land will be allocated to Adani Solar Energy. Officials noted that this project will enhance renewable energy capacity and contribute to sustainable power generation in the state.

In addition, the cabinet approved the draft amendment bill for the Andhra Pradesh Prohibition of Begging Act. The government also sanctioned development works for the Thota Venkatachalam lift irrigation canal in Kakinada district.

These decisions reflect the state’s focus on balancing infrastructure growth, energy development, and welfare reforms. The Amaravati funding, in particular, is seen as a boost to capital region development and a reassurance for locals awaiting progress.
