JD(U) candidate Mahabali Singh held a narrow lead in the Karakat Assembly constituency as counting continued through the afternoon. Trends from the early rounds suggested a close contest, but Mahabali Singh gradually strengthened his position by Round 14 of the 31-round process. Voting for the constituency took place on November 11.

CPI(ML) Liberation candidate Arun Singh followed closely and remained only a few votes behind, signalling a tense battle for the top spot. Jyoti Singh, wife of Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh, trailed both leading candidates despite attracting attention as an independent contender. Karakat has witnessed multi-cornered contests in the past, and this election continued that pattern.

As per the latest update at 2:15 pm, Mahabali Singh had secured 36,229 votes. Arun Singh held 36,210 votes, keeping the fight extremely tight. Jyoti Singh received 9,308 votes.

The National Democratic Alliance also moved past the 200-seat mark in the state, reinforcing Nitish Kumar’s long-term political influence. The Karakat result reflects shifting local preferences and an intense electoral battle.

Bhojpuri actor and BJP leader Pawan Singh faces questions about his wife, Jyoti Singh, who is contesting independently from Karakat. While Pawan Singh supports his party’s stance, he avoids comments about his wife’s campaign.

Jyoti Singh, confident and active in her constituency, says she is contesting with people’s support, not her husband’s influence. She clarified that Pawan Singh’s name was not added to her nomination to avoid asset disclosures. Jyoti also stated that though she gained fame through her husband, she faced defamation too.

The Pawan Singh Jyoti Singh Bihar Election 2025 has become a symbol of how personal conflicts can shape public perception. As both continue their campaigns separately, their political paths highlight a dramatic turn in Bihar’s election story.

In her affidavit, she did not mention her husband’s name, describing herself as a “parityikta naari,” a woman abandoned by her husband. Jyoti listed her assets worth ₹18.8 lakh, including a Grand Vitara car and 30 grams of gold — mangalsutra, chain, and ring included.

Jyoti Singh Bihar Election 2025 has also stirred interest due to her statement, “Now the people are my party.” She declared that she would not join any political group and would rely on public support. Her strained relationship with Pawan Singh has already drawn attention, as the couple lives separately amid ongoing divorce proceedings.

Speculation grew after her meeting with Jan Suraj leader Prashant Kishor, but Jyoti clarified that it was only for justice, not politics. Her bold step into Bihar’s political arena as an independent reflects both personal courage and public confidence.
