This decision followed the intervention of AICC General Secretary and Alappuzha MP KC Venugopal, who raised the issue with Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy. In response, KSRTC issued orders for the special services. The buses will depart from Mysuru Road Bus Stand and Shantinagar BMTC Bus Station, with premium services available from Shantinagar. The services will cover major Kerala towns, including Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and others.

Private operators had been charging high fares, leaving many travelers stranded, and train tickets were sold out well in advance. KSRTC’s services offer an affordable and reliable alternative. Passengers can book tickets online via m.kstrtc.in. Premium “Airavat Club Class” AC buses will be used, with discounts available for group and round-trip bookings.
