The bird-killing gun celebration in Barhiya created a big debate on social media. Many people believed that supporters fired celebratory bullets when Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha reached Barhiya. However, the reality was very different. The bird-killing gun celebration in Barhiya happened using a bamboo-and-pipe gun that fires loud crackers, not bullets.

When Vijay Sinha visited Barhiya after becoming Deputy Chief Minister again, his supporters welcomed him with excitement. A video went viral showing two young men firing something that looked like a gun. People assumed it was a rifle, and criticism started spreading online.

Local residents explained that these youths used a traditional bird-shooting gun. They loaded it with firecrackers and burst them during the procession. This practice is common in the area. Families from this Muslim community use the gun during celebrations or to scare animals like boars and nilgai that damage crops.

The police seized both devices and questioned the youths, Jabir and Hamid. The Deputy CM also clarified that the device was harmless and used only for crackers. He called the rumor of celebratory firing completely false.

Vijay Kumar Sinha Profile Bihar shows his steady rise in state politics. The key phrase also reflects his journey from a local worker to a top leader.

The NDA won the 2025 Bihar election with a strong majority. Therefore, the BJP chose Vijay Kumar Sinha again as Deputy Chief Minister. This decision also shows his growing influence in the party and in the Bhumihar community.

Sinha won his fifth election from Lakhisarai. He defeated Congress leader Amresh Kumar by 24,940 votes. After the result, he said that people trusted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He added that the win gives hope to Bihar’s youth, women, and farmers.

Sinha was born in 1967 in Lakhisarai district. He studied locally and later completed a diploma in civil engineering. However, during his student days, he joined ABVP and the RSS. This changed his path and led him into politics.

He became an MLA in 2005. Since then, he has kept his seat. Later, he also served as Labor Resources Minister. In 2020, he became Speaker of the Assembly. However, he left the post after the political shift in 2022.

Today, his return as Deputy CM confirms his long and stable career.

The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given Bihar highway project approval for a major greenfield road initiative. The four-lane Buxar–Bhagalpur High-Speed Corridor will significantly improve connectivity and regional development.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the 84-kilometer stretch will cost ₹4,447 crore. This approval marks one of the biggest infrastructure decisions in recent months and is expected to strengthen trade and logistics in Bihar.

The project will connect Bhagalpur to key regional towns including Mokama, Barahiya, Lakhisarai, Jamalpur, and Munger. By enhancing transport efficiency, the corridor will reduce travel time and boost economic activity across the state.

With Bihar assembly elections approaching, the Bihar highway project approval has also sparked political debate. Analysts believe the move combines development priorities with a strategy to appeal to voters by focusing on infrastructure growth.
