The state government wants to support women who have shown strong progress under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme. Earlier, many Jeevika Didis received ₹10,000 as seed money to start small businesses and self-employment activities.

Now, the government plans to track women who have increased their income after getting this support. The survey will help officials find women who are close to earning ₹1 lakh annually and guide them further.

Around 31 lakh women in Bihar are already recognised as “lakhpati didis.” The new step aims to expand this number by offering skill training, guidance, and possible financial help.

Officials believe this approach will strengthen rural livelihoods and encourage women to become independent entrepreneurs. The move also reflects the government’s focus on women-led economic growth.

If implemented well, the scheme could help thousands of women take the next big step in their income journey.
