Resurvey 2.0 should be error free, Andhra Pradesh Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad said on Thursday, stressing that accuracy matters more than speed. He said the government has extended the survey timeline to 140 days to ensure careful checks at every stage.

The Minister told officials that land records affect livelihoods and must reflect ground reality. He directed survey teams to work closely with landowners and explain each step clearly. Officials must not rush the process or ignore local concerns.

To build trust, the government wants farmers and landowners present during surveys. If a concerned farmer is absent, officials should postpone the exercise and fix another date. The Minister said this approach will reduce disputes and complaints later.

He also asked senior revenue officers to monitor field work regularly and resolve issues on the spot. Any errors found during verification should be corrected immediately, without pushing the burden onto citizens.

Resurvey 2.0 should be error free because it forms the base for future land transactions, welfare schemes, and legal clarity, the Minister said. He added that transparency and public participation remain the government’s top priorities.

Bihar land reforms are set to improve as the state government announces a plan to translate old land documents written in the Kaithi script. These records have caused problems for years because most people can no longer read this script.

The government says Bihar land reforms face delays mainly due to unreadable land papers. Many landowners struggle during mutation, surveys, and ownership verification because officials and citizens cannot understand old records.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said the revenue and land reforms department will train experts in Kaithi script. These experts will help translate old documents at affordable costs. This step will reduce disputes and speed up land-related services.

Several districts still use Kaithi-written documents like khatiyan, land receipts, and settlement papers. Due to this, people often visit offices repeatedly and face legal confusion.

Officials believe the new system will bring transparency and trust. It will also reduce the workload of revenue staff and make services easier for citizens.

The initiative aims to modernize record handling while preserving historical documents. The government expects smoother land surveys and faster case resolution after implementation.

The Bihar government has started a major reform to improve mutation and mutation reports across the state. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha reviewed the revenue department’s work and stressed that mutation and mutation reports must be prepared every day with clear, date-wise progress.

He said that officers must show how much work they complete within deadlines. He warned that strict action will be taken against corrupt employees. A grading system for all revenue staff will begin on December 15.

The Deputy CM also checked the progress of land surveys, refinement plus, the complaint management system, and revenue payments. He ordered clear reporting from Circle Officers to Divisional Commissioners.

To increase transparency, he instructed all zonal offices to install CCTV cameras and display boards with the names and contact details of officers. A central CCTV control system will also be set up to monitor all staff.

A separate monitoring cell and flying squads will be formed for surprise inspections. He will personally visit districts starting December 15, beginning from Lakhisarai, to review revenue work. He said simple and clear language should be used so that people trust the department more.

Forest officials confirmed land encroachments in Mangalam Peta forest area of Pulicherla mandal in Chittoor district. They filed cases under the AP Forest Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections. The officers named Peddireddy Mithun Reddy as A1, followed by Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Peddireddy Dwarakanath Reddy, and Peddireddy Indiramma. They also prepared a Preliminary Offence Report and submitted a chargesheet. The team took control of 32.63 acres involved in the encroachment.

Officials stated that the 1968 Gazette recorded 75.74 acres as assigned land in this forest region. However, the accused added 32.63 acres of forest land to it and built a fence. They planted horticulture crops and earned income from them. They also dug a borewell and used forest resources illegally. According to officers, the damage to forest wealth reached nearly ₹1.26 crore.

The team registered cases under AP Forest Act 1967 and BNS sections. They issued notices because the accused failed to show valid documents for the occupied land. Officials also confirmed strict action against supporting staff.

Deputy Chief Minister and Forest Minister Pawan Kalyan ordered a full survey and asked officers to upload all forest land data online. PCCF P. V. Chalapathi Rao said the committee already started recovery of the encroached land and will publish complete details soon.

The Andhra Pradesh government is moving to grant ownership rights to around 45 lakh properties by March next year. Under the Swamitva Scheme, property owners will receive official property cards after completion of land surveys. According to officials, the survey process is expected to be completed by December this year.

The coalition government has already engaged staff from village secretariats in this mission. Using drone technology, data from nearly 6,000 villages are being collected for 45 lakh properties. The information will be converted into Ortho Rectified Images for precise property parcel mapping, showing each plot’s length and width. Revenue and Panchayat Raj departments are jointly verifying these measurements. Reports indicate that surveys for over 43 lakh properties are complete.

Once verification is finished, authorities will issue public notices under Section 9(2) to receive objections from citizens. After resolving objections, final ownership records will be announced under Section 13. The verified owners’ lists will be displayed at village secretariats and panchayat offices.

Any required modifications will be made under the supervision of the MRO. The second phase of this massive initiative will begin after March 2026.
