Officials reviewed the evidence and concluded that the case could not move forward in court.
The investigation started in 2024. Authorities examined allegations linked to fundraising and a solar power project in India. Prosecutors had earlier claimed that investors may have been misled during the process.

After a detailed review, the Justice Department chose not to pursue the matter further. The court accepted the request and officially closed the Gautam Adani case permanently.

The decision removed a major legal uncertainty around the Adani Group. Market observers say the move could strengthen investor confidence and support the company’s global expansion plans in the coming

The Haryana government has officially taken over Aparna Ashram, founded by the late yoga guru and controversial godman Dhirendra Brahmachari, on a prime 24-acre property in Gurugram. The move follows the Aparna Institution (Taking Over of Management and Control) Act, 2025, notified by Ritu Garg, Administrative Secretary to the Law and Legislative Department.

Under the Act, the government will manage the ashram for an initial period of 10 years. Authorities will appoint an administrator to oversee the property and maintain its operations. Officials stated that the takeover aims to prevent rival groups from exploiting the land for personal gain.

Dhirendra Brahmachari had purchased the land in Silokhra village using donations, grants, and support from the Centre. After his death in a 1994 plane crash, the society running the ashram split into two factions. This caused prolonged legal disputes. The controversy escalated in 2020 when a sale deed valued the property at just ₹55 crore. However, officials clarified that the fair market value stood at ₹12 crore per acre, totaling ₹288 crore. The sale deed was later cancelled, and the Punjab and Haryana High Court rejected challenges from the involved parties.

The government emphasized that the takeover will preserve the ashram’s historical and cultural significance. It will also ensure transparent administration. Local residents and devotees expressed relief, noting that the property had been a hub for spiritual and social activities for decades.

This intervention safeguards Dhirendra Brahmachari’s legacy and prevents further disputes over the Gurugram land. Authorities have pledged to maintain proper administration and uphold the ashram’s religious and cultural heritage.

The court dismissed his petition, marking the third time bail requests have been rejected. Earlier, two previous bail applications were also dismissed. This latest rejection is a significant setback for him.

Sanjay worked in the Fire Safety Department during the previous government. Allegations surfaced regarding fund misuse during that period. The coalition government at the time identified irregularities and filed a case against him.

Following the findings, Sanjay was arrested and shifted to Vijayawada jail. The court has repeatedly extended his remand while the investigation continues. Despite filing three bail petitions, he remains in custody as the case proceeds.

GHMC-HYDERABAD officials carried out a demolition drive on Monday morning in the Gachibowli layout of the Fertilizers Corporation of India Employees Cooperative Housing Society. They acted after the High Court objected to alleged encroachments by Sridhar Rao, the owner of Sandhya Convention. Several affected plot owners had filed complaints, and the court had shown strong displeasure last week over the reported illegal constructions.

Officials informed the court that Sridhar Rao had occupied layout roads and park spaces and converted them for his personal construction. They said the approved 20-acre layout has more than 162 plots, and Rao claimed most of them. This created fear among the remaining owners. One woman owner also told the court that Rao threatened her and filed false police cases when she raised objections.

The plot owners said they approached HYDERABAD officials for protection because they faced attacks and pressure. The officials inspected the site, confirmed the road encroachments, and prepared for the clearance drive. The Supreme Court had earlier imposed a ₹10 lakh penalty on Sandhya Sridhar Rao after reviewing related complaints.

After hearing the submissions, Justice Vijayasen Reddy ordered the authorities to restore the original roads and park areas. He assured support for genuine plot owners. The court scheduled the final hearing for the 18th of this month. Officials then moved quickly and demolished the unauthorised structures and sheds inside the layout as part of the court-directed action.

Victoria, who has lived in India since 2019, allegedly left for Russia with her four-year-old child amid an ongoing custody battle with her estranged Indian husband, Saikat Basu. The embassy said it remains in close contact with Indian authorities over the matter to ensure compliance with legal procedures.

The statement followed the Supreme Court’s concern over the lack of a detailed response from the Russian side about Victoria’s whereabouts.

Ola Electric, led by Bhavish Aggarwal, sold 16,034 e-scooters in October — a 61% drop from the same month last year. Data from the government’s Vahan portal showed that sales also fell from September, when the company sold 13,421 units. The decline followed a temporary sales suspension in Goa after customer complaints about poor service and registration delays.

The company faced more trouble when police named its executives in the suicide case of a 38-year-old engineer, K. Aravind. Before his death in Bengaluru on September 28, Aravind left a 28-page note accusing his superiors of harassment and unpaid dues.

During a recent hearing, the complainant’s lawyer called Ola Electric “worse than the East India Company” and questioned a ₹17.46 lakh transfer made to Aravind’s account two days after his death. Ola Electric rejected the claims, saying Aravind never filed any formal grievance while employed with the company.

The agency claimed that this violated the conditions set by the court for his travel abroad.

According to the CBI memo, Jagan failed to submit his personal contact number, email ID, and detailed itinerary, as required under the court’s prior permission. As a result, the CBI has requested the court to revoke the permission granted for his foreign trip.

The family of former President Pratibha Patil has accused Maharashtra Minister Jaykumar Rawal of illegally occupying their ancestral land in Shirpur, Dhule district. They said Rawal continues to occupy the 33-acre farmland despite a court ruling in their favour.

Pratibha Patil’s brother and nephew stated that Rawal had filed a legal claim, but the court rejected it. They allege that Rawal and his supporters refused to leave the land, ignoring the court order.

Uday Patil, the former President’s nephew, said that when they tried to take possession, Rawal’s loyalists blocked them. He added that the minister uses local goons to intimidate the family. Police, he claimed, did not act on their complaints.

The Patil family demanded higher authorities intervene to enforce the court order and restore possession. Minister Jaykumar Rawal has not responded. The case has drawn public attention because it involves a former President’s family.
