The matter relates to a murder case from Madhurampur village under Akorhigola police station in Sasaram district. The trial is already underway. During the hearing, the court asked the police to present a pair of scissors, which is an important piece of evidence in the case.

Despite clear instructions, the SHO failed to produce the evidence in court. He also ignored repeated reminders and deadlines. This delay affected the progress of the trial and raised concerns about accountability.

The judge issued a show-cause notice and later passed the penalty order. The court said strict action was needed to protect the accused person’s right to a speedy trial.

The court directed the treasury office to deduct ₹500 from the SHO’s salary each day. It also informed the DIG, SP, and other senior officials to ensure the order is followed.

The deduction will stop only after the SHO submits the required evidence to the court.
