The MHA cancelled SECMOL’s FCRA registration. The ministry accused activist Sonam Wangchuk of instigating violence among youth. Ladakh police registered multiple FIRs and detained over 50 rioters. Four civilians died, 90 were injured, and several buildings and vehicles were damaged.

Officials will hold a high-level meeting in New Delhi on September 27-28. LAB and KDA will each send three representatives. The Ladakh MP will also attend. The meeting will address restoring peace and preventing further violence.

Authorities are probing outsiders’ roles and sources of petrol bombs. They identified some youth from Nepal and Doda among the injured. Schools, colleges, and educational institutions will remain closed for two days. The MHA warned that instigators could face strict action under the Public Safety Act.
