The children were reportedly being taken from Bihar to Maharashtra. Railway police and child protection officials acted quickly after receiving a tip about possible trafficking.

Authorities said the 163 minor children rescued from Patna-Purna Express were mostly from Bihar’s Araria region. The boys, aged between six and thirteen, were allegedly being transported to Latur in Maharashtra for labour work.

A joint team of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) stopped the train at Katni station and searched several sleeper coaches. They found the children travelling without proper tickets or documents. Officials immediately took them into safe custody.

Police arrested eight men who were travelling with the group. Officers registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to child trafficking. Authorities have started an investigation to uncover the network behind the operation.

The rescued children are now staying in child protection centres in Katni and Jabalpur. Officials are contacting their families and verifying their identities.

Digital arrest scam has surfaced again in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, exposing how cyber criminals target senior citizens. A retired bank officer lost ₹23.5 lakh after fraudsters kept him under constant video surveillance for three days.

The victim, Basant Kumar Medamwar, received a call on November 27. The caller ID showed Delhi Police. The caller claimed criminals had misused Medamwar’s Aadhaar card to obtain a fake SIM. He also alleged the gold kept at Medamwar’s home was illegal.

Frightened by threats of arrest, the retired officer came under severe mental pressure. The fraudsters then placed him under what they called “digital arrest.” They monitored him through continuous video and phone calls for three days. During this period, Medamwar transferred ₹23.5 lakh in two installments to bank accounts shared by the scammers.

The criminals later demanded more money. They instructed him to take a gold loan from his bank. The bank manager noticed his fear and constant phone instructions. Suspecting fraud, the manager alerted the police.

Police arrived immediately and explained the scam. They stopped the gold loan process and rescued him from digital arrest. DSP Shaifa Hashmi confirmed the fraud and said police saved the remaining money. A case has been registered and investigation is ongoing.

Sanskrit cricket tournament Bhopal has turned heads with its unique blend of sport, tradition, and language. The event is unfolding in the Madhya Pradesh capital with rare cultural flair. Players walk onto the pitch wearing dhoti-kurta, sporting tilak, and chanting Vedic mantras.

The tournament, titled Maharishi Maitri Cricket Series-6, replaces English cricket terms with Sanskrit expressions. When a batter hits a four, commentators announce “Chatushkam.” A six draws loud cheers of “Shatkam” from loudspeakers. This Sanskrit commentary has delighted spectators and gone viral online.

The matches take place at Ankur Sports Ground in Bhopal. The Parshuram Kalyan Board and Vedic Brahmin Youth Sports Welfare Committee jointly organised the event. Organisers aim to promote Sanskrit, Sanatan culture, and social harmony through sports.

This year, 27 teams from across the country have joined the competition. All players follow traditional attire rules. Every announcement, decision, and commentary uses Sanskrit only. Spectators enjoy both competitive cricket and a cultural learning experience.

Pandit Vishnu Rajoriya said the tournament presents an Indian expression of a global sport. He added that students of Sanskrit and members of the Brahmin community participate actively. The winning team will receive a cash prize of ₹21,000.

Indore drinking water crisis has exposed a disturbing reality in India’s cleanest city. A ground report from Bhagirthpura and Sonia Gandhi Nagar reveals shocking conditions. Residents consume water supplied through rusted tankers and pipelines running inside open drains. Experts warn that the situation poses a serious health threat.

After contaminated water caused multiple deaths in Bhagirthpura, authorities deployed water tankers. However, these tankers remain covered in rust, algae, and visible filth. Locals say the supplied water smells foul and appears unsafe. Similar scenes have emerged from Sonia Gandhi Nagar, Gulzar Colony, and Pipliyarao areas.

In Sonia Gandhi Nagar, drinking water pipelines pass directly through sewage-filled lanes. Frequent leakages allow dirty drain water to mix with tap water. Every morning, households receive black, foul-smelling water in the name of Narmada supply.

A TDS meter test conducted during the ground report revealed alarming contamination levels. Former central nodal officer Sudhindra Mohan Sharma warned that prolonged consumption may cause kidney failure and severe infections. Municipal officials identified 69 contaminated borewells in Bhagirthpura and began emergency chlorination.

Residents pay nearly ₹300 monthly water bills. In return, they receive toxic water for barely 15 minutes daily. With no response from elected leaders, over 40,000 people now depend on costly RO cans or unsafe tanker water. Political protests have intensified across Madhya Pradesh.

Mahaaryaman, son of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Sindhia, was greeting supporters through the car’s sunroof. During the interaction, the driver applied sudden brakes. The unexpected jolt caused his chest to hit the front portion of the vehicle.

The incident happened on the second day of his two-day Shivpuri tour. He had reached the Kolaras Assembly constituency to attend a youth conference. He later visited a college ground to review a local cricket tournament.

Initially, Mahaaryaman continued his scheduled programmes despite discomfort. By evening, his chest pain increased. Officials then rushed him to Shivpuri District Hospital as a precaution.

Doctors conducted a CT scan to rule out serious injuries. Medical staff confirmed that his condition remains stable. Hospital authorities continue to monitor his health closely.

District officials stated that there is no immediate danger. Doctors advised rest and observation. No further medical complications have been reported so far.
