MP Air Travel Disruption: Indigo Cancels Over 65 Flights, 36 from Indore and 18 from Bhopal

A major air travel crisis has unfolded in Madhya Pradesh as Indigo Airlines cancelled more than 65 flights due to DGCA’s new regulations and internal planning issues. The biggest impact is visible at Indore and Bhopal airports, where thousands of passengers were left troubled by sudden flight cancellations.

From Bhopal Airport alone, 18 flights to Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and other major cities were cancelled, affecting more than 3,600 passengers. Meanwhile, Indore reported cancellations of 36 flights. Many passengers stated that they did not receive timely cancellation messages from the airline, leaving them unaware of the situation until they reached the airport.

The situation worsened when other airlines significantly increased their fares. Passengers were forced to pay an additional ₹20,000 to ₹25,000 for a single ticket due to sudden demand. Indigo is currently attempting to normalize its operations, but for now, the difficulties faced by passengers do not appear to be easing.

Khargone RI Dog Case: High Court Fines JAYS District President ₹1 Lakh, PIL Dismissed

The Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has delivered its verdict in the widely discussed Khargone RI dog case, imposing a ₹1 lakh fine on the petitioner, Sachin Sisodia, who is the district president of JAYS (Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti). The case involved allegations that a constable assigned to care for the police reserve inspector’s dog was beaten after the dog went missing, prompting public outrage and a PIL filed in the High Court.

During the hearing, the High Court observed that the individual directly connected to the incident did not wish to pursue the case legally. After reviewing documents and the intent behind the petition, the court concluded that the PIL was filed with a “special agenda” and lacked genuine public interest.

A division bench of Justices Vijay Kumar Shukla and Vinod Kumar Dwivedi dismissed the PIL on December 3, noting that it appeared to have been filed with hidden motives rather than for public welfare. As a consequence, the court imposed a ₹1 lakh penalty on Sisodia for misusing the PIL mechanism.

The decision has sparked discussions about the misuse of PILs and the judiciary’s strict stance on petitions filed with concealed personal agendas.

Mandsaur Drunk Truck Driver’s Dangerous Highway Rampage Sparks Outrage

A disturbing incident from Mandsaur has gone viral, showing a drunk truck driver causing chaos on the Mhow–Neemuch bypass highway. The intoxicated driver, visibly out of control, terrified commuters as he sped along the highway while preventing vehicles behind him from overtaking.

In the viral video, the truck can be seen repeatedly climbing the road divider and swerving dangerously from one end of the highway to the other. Motorists following the vehicle, including two-wheelers and cars, were forced to maintain distance as there was no safe opportunity to overtake the erratic truck.

Eyewitnesses reported that the driver’s reckless behaviour put countless lives at risk. Several commuters recorded the spine-chilling scene on their mobile phones, later sharing it on social media, where it quickly gained widespread attention.
Following the uproar, locals have demanded strict and immediate action from the police to address such blatant negligence and ensure road safety on the highway.
