The Bihar government has started a major hiring drive, and the focus is on 33,000 posts in Bihar Health Department. Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that the State will speed up new appointments. He added that more than 33,000 posts in Bihar Health Department will be filled in the coming months.

Pandey explained that 26,000 positions are now in the final stage of recruitment. He said that the process will move fast to improve health services across the State. He also announced recruitment for 7,600 posts under the National Health Mission (NHM). These new jobs will help strengthen medical support in rural and urban areas.

The Minister said that three new medical colleges will open next year in Vaishali, Bhojpur, and Siwan. These colleges will provide better education and more job opportunities in the healthcare sector.

Mangal Pandey has long experience in the Health Ministry. He held this role earlier in 2017 and 2020 under the NDA government. In the 2025 Assembly elections, he won from Siwan by 9,370 votes and returned to the cabinet. He now handles both the Health Department and the Law Department in Bihar.

Bihar Legislative Council changes have started after four Council members won in the 18th Bihar Assembly elections. These members include former Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, former Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, and Radhacharan Sah. With their shift to the Assembly, new leaders will soon enter the Council. The key phrase Bihar Legislative Council changes reflects the current political transition in the state.

Samrat Chaudhary won from Tarapur on a BJP ticket, and Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha won from Jagdishpur as a JDU candidate. Both joined the Council in June 2020 and will complete their term in June 2026.

Mangal Pandey won from Siwan on a BJP ticket. He entered the Council in May 2024 with a term ending in 2030. Radhacharan Sah, elected earlier as Deputy Speaker from the Bhojpur/Buxar quota, is now an MLA from Sandesh on a JDU ticket. His Deputy Speaker term lasts until April 2028.

Experts say these members must resign from the Council before taking oath as MLAs. If they do not resign, their Council membership ends automatically when they take the Assembly oath. If vacancies appear, the Election Commission must conduct elections within six months.

Prashant Kishor is once again in the spotlight with new political attacks. The Jan Suraj Party leader has targeted top leaders from BJP and JDU. His recent comments have created a storm in Bihar politics, with many asking—who is next in Prashant Kishor’s bag?

Kishor has already made allegations against Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, BJP leaders Dilip Jaiswal, Mangal Pandey, and Sanjay Jaiswal, as well as JDU minister Ashok Choudhary. He accused Ashok Choudhary of paying money for a Lok Sabha ticket and amassing assets worth ₹200 crore. This led to a ₹100 crore defamation case against Kishor.

Other allegations include questioning Samrat Choudhary’s age and degree, accusing Mangal Pandey of a shady Delhi flat deal, and charging Dilip Jaiswal with seizing a medical college and being linked to a murder case. Sanjay Jaiswal faced charges over petrol pump irregularities. In return, these leaders have challenged Kishor’s funding and credibility.

As the battle intensifies, Bihar politics is heating up with each new disclosure. The suspense remains—who will Prashant Kishor target next?

Former Union Minister RK Singh has asked Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary and State BJP President Dilip Jaiswal to respond to Prashant Kishor’s allegations. If they refuse to answer, Singh said they should resign.

Prashant Kishor accused Dilip Jaiswal of being linked to a murder and of seizing a minority medical college. He also claimed that Samrat Choudhary failed in Class 7 and never showed valid certificates. Singh said these charges hurt the party’s image and cannot be ignored.

He insisted that leaders should give a clear reply. If the charges are false, they must file defamation cases. If the charges are true, they should step down. Singh also said Nitish Kumar should remove leaders who avoid giving answers.

According to Singh, silence only weakens the BJP and JDU in Bihar. He warned that people can see the credibility of leaders. Kishor’s fresh attacks have increased pressure on NDA leaders like Samrat Choudhary, Ashok Choudhary, Mangal Pandey, and Sanjay Jaiswal.

Bihar politics is now heating up as Singh’s demand for Samrat Choudhary’s resignation adds to the storm.
