The cabinet announced a Universal Health Policy under Ayushman Bharat and the NTR Seva scheme.

The scheme will provide each family with free treatment worth up to ₹25 lakh every year. This decision directly benefits 1.63 crore families across the state. The cabinet also approved 10 new medical colleges under the Public-Private Partnership model. These colleges will expand healthcare access and strengthen medical education.

Under the NTR Health Services hybrid model, 2,493 network hospitals will provide free treatment. The scheme covers 3,257 procedures at no cost. To speed up medical support, the government will introduce a pre-authorization system that grants approvals within six hours.

As part of the framework, insurance companies will handle claims up to ₹2.5 lakh. The NTR Health Services Trust will fund treatments between ₹2.5 lakh and ₹25 lakh. These reforms highlight the government’s commitment to affordable healthcare and better infrastructure for the people of Andhra Pradesh.

The cabinet will discuss 30 agenda items. Approval of the Scheduled Castes sub-classification bill is expected to be the main highlight. This move aims to ensure equal distribution of benefits among SC communities. The establishment of 10 new medical colleges will also be reviewed, strengthening healthcare and medical education in the state.

In response to recent heavy rains, the cabinet may release ₹571 crore as flood relief. Amaravati-based educational and medical institutions are expected to receive stamp duty exemptions. Several industries could also secure approvals from the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB).

Other proposals include the introduction of a universal health policy, a reduction in green tax on transport vehicles, and a new scheme to legalize unauthorized constructions.
