He recalled how rivers like Ganga, Kosi, Gandak, and Punpun are worshipped as “Maiya.” He added that insulting mothers reflects a disgraceful mindset that cannot be forgiven.

The controversy began in Darbhanga, Bihar, during the Grand Alliance’s Voter Adhikar Yatra, where derogatory comments were reportedly made. Modi said the remarks deeply hurt not only him but also the people of Bihar. He demanded Congress and RJD apologize to Chhathi Maiya and the seven sisters worshipped during Navratra.

Modi urged people to respond strongly. He declared, “We will not tolerate insults to mothers. We will not accept RJD’s atrocities, Congress’s attacks, or disrespect to our mothers.”
