Police named Deva Gupta, husband of Motihari Mayor Priti Gupta, as the most wanted person. Officials say he faces more than two dozen serious criminal cases. These include murder, extortion, land grabbing, and threats.

The police released the list to control rising crime in the district. Officers asked all listed criminals to surrender within ten days. Anyone who fails to do so will face strict legal action.

Rewards announced for the criminals range from ₹5,000 to ₹1 lakh. The total reward amount is around ₹8 lakh. Many names on the list are linked to liquor smuggling, robbery, and violent activities.

Senior police officials said they will speed up arrests after the deadline ends. They also warned that property seizure and court action may follow.

Police urged citizens to share information about the accused. Officials promised confidentiality and rewards for credible tips. The move aims to restore public safety and send a strong message against crime in East Champaran.

The Deputy CM stressed that Bihar is witnessing rapid progress in infrastructure and agriculture. He praised the role of MP Radha Mohan Singh in boosting farm development. According to him, rising ethanol demand has pushed maize prices up to ₹2,000–3,000 per quintal, giving farmers new opportunities.

On economic reforms, Choudhary said Prime Minister Modi stood firm even after the U.S. imposed a 400% tax on terephthalic acid. He highlighted the government’s plan to reduce four tax slabs into two for a simpler system. He also mentioned ongoing projects like the Siliguri-Gorakhpur Expressway and the Haldiya-Raxaul Expressway.

He concluded by saying, “India will only be the best when Bihar becomes the best.”
