AIMIM started its rise in Seemanchal in 2015 and later expanded across the region. The party won five seats in 2020 and recorded a big victory in Kochadhaman with nearly 80,000 votes. This time, AIMIM has fielded Sarwar Alam, who aims to protect the party’s stronghold.

On the other side, the RJD nominated Mujahid Alam, a former JDU MLA. He entered politics in 2010 and won his first election in 2014. He won again in 2015 but later struggled in 2020 and 2024. Now, he hopes to regain the seat and break his losing streak.

The Kochadhaman constituency has a 70% Muslim population, making the contest even more interesting. Both AIMIM and RJD are confident of victory. With high voter turnout and multi-corner competition, the final result will decide which party can hold its ground in Seemanchal.
