										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p data-start="186" data-end="609">The first phase of <strong data-start="205" data-end="242"><a href="http://www.bihar.com">Bihar</a> Chunav Polling Phase 1 LIVE</strong> has begun with great enthusiasm across the state. The spirit of democracy shines bright as voters head to polling booths from 7 am to 6 pm to elect their representatives. In this phase, voting is being held for 121 assembly seats spread across 18 districts. More than 3 crore 75 lakh voters will decide the fate of 1,314 candidates, including 122 women contenders.</p>
<p data-start="611" data-end="952">A total of 45,341 polling stations have been set up, including in Patna, where a huge voter turnout is expected. The Election Commission has ensured strict security measures, with sensitive booths being monitored through live webcasting. Voting in areas like Munger, Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Mahisi, Tarapur, and Jamalpur will conclude by 5 pm<a href="https://www.indiapodcast.com/bihars-political-past-and-present-a-journey-from-glory-to-struggle/">.</a></p>
<p data-start="954" data-end="1230">Voters are using EPIC and other 12 valid ID cards to cast their votes. <strong data-start="1025" data-end="1062">Bihar Chunav Polling Phase 1 LIVE</strong> updates show steady participation as citizens line up early in the morning. The VIP, now part of the Grand Alliance with RJD, Congress, CPI-ML, CPI, and CPM, has fielded Bhogendra Sahani from Aurai, Rakesh Kumar from Baruraj, Santosh Sahani from Gaurabauram, Umesh Sahani from Darbhanga Urban, Ganesh Bharti from Kusheshwarsthan, and Naveen Nishad from Alamnagar. All have filed nominations<a href="https://www.indiapodcast.com/arun-kumar-family-bags-multiple-tickets-in-jehanabad/">.</a></p>
<p data-start="527" data-end="926">Earlier, VIP was in the NDA alliance in 2020, contesting 11 seats and winning four. After internal disputes and defections, Sahani rejoined the Grand Alliance in 2022. The <strong data-start="699" data-end="732">Bihar Assembly Elections 2025</strong> will be held in two phases—on November 6 and 11—and results will be declared on November 14. Nomination filing for phase one runs from October 10–17, and for phase two from October 13 onward.</p>

<p data-start="671" data-end="879">Tejashwi Yadav, VIP chief Mukesh Sahani, CPI(ML) leader Dipankar Bhattacharya, and Bihar Congress chief Rajesh Ram also walked with him. The event turned into a strong show of unity for the Mahagathbandhan.</p>
