This strong security presence aims to ensure peaceful polling, especially in Naxalite-affected regions. Around 500 companies are already stationed, while others are arriving. To boost voter confidence, flag marches and strict checks are being conducted across districts.

A coordination meeting of central and state agencies, led by the SSB, discussed sharing intelligence on smuggling and anti-national activities near the India-Nepal border. Over 230 SSB companies are also deployed, with 145 already in place. Security agencies have intensified inspections to stop illegal liquor and cash movement. Bihar’s police and paramilitary forces are working jointly to maintain peace and fairness during the elections.
