The Bihar Election 2025 NDA strategy is ready across nine key districts covering 36 assembly seats. The NDA aims to bounce back in eight districts where it couldn’t win even a single seat last time. Supaul, where the NDA earlier achieved 100% victory, will now be its test zone.

From Patna to Kishanganj and Aurangabad, NDA partners—JDU, BJP, LJP (Ram Vilas), RLSP, and HAM—have crafted a joint ground plan. Each state president monitors booth-level coordination to avoid any gaps. In 2020, the Grand Alliance had swept 28 of 31 seats, turning those defeats into a major challenge for NDA.

This time, the Bihar Election 2025 NDA strategy focuses on aggressive campaigning and better communication. The Grand Alliance too has activated local leaders to challenge NDA’s confidence in Supaul and beyond. Both sides are preparing for a fierce face-off.

The NDA is focusing hard on Bihar ahead of the Assembly elections. Home Minister Amit Shah’s Bihar plan includes camping in Patna from October 16 to 18, meeting JDU, Chirag Paswan, and Upendra Kushwaha. His goal is to manage alliance tensions and strengthen coordination. The NDA has finalized seat-sharing but faces internal friction, while the Grand Alliance still struggles over candidate lists.

Amit Shah will return again after Diwali, continue in Patna till Chhath, and personally monitor campaign efforts. Top BJP leaders like Dharmendra Pradhan and Keshav Prasad Maurya will also join him. This move shows Shah’s hands-on style and focus on keeping allies united. The BJP’s plan includes deploying CMs and Deputy CMs from other states for an aggressive campaign to boost the NDA’s unity and voter confidence.

The Indian National Congress on September 29, 2025, sharply criticised Home Minister Amit Shah for relying on “vote chori” (vote theft) and “vote revdi” (vote doles) to secure over 160 seats in Bihar. Congress stated that politically aware voters in Bihar will reject such tactics in the upcoming assembly elections.

Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh posted on X, explaining that VC usually stands for Vice Chancellor, Venture Capital, or Vir Chakra. “Now in politics, VC means vote chori,” he said. Ramesh accused Amit Shah of revealing the NDA’s strategy for Bihar’s elections in a public forum.

“He hopes that VC plus VR will deliver the desired outcome. But Bihar’s politically aware voters will resist such machinations,” Ramesh added. He also stressed that the Mahagatbandhan in Bihar will stand against this strategy and create a significant political impact in New Delhi.

Earlier, Amit Shah accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD president Lalu Prasad of seeking to “secure voting rights for infiltrators.” He vowed that if NDA wins a two-thirds majority, infiltrators will be removed from Bihar.

Congress argued that such a “vote chori, vote revdi” approach undermines democratic processes. Political analysts agree this issue is now central to Bihar’s political discourse. As the Election Commission prepares to announce dates for the assembly polls, Bihar voters will face a decisive choice — whether to endorse or reject this strategy. The outcome will influence the political landscape of the state for years.

Union Minister and LJP (Ramvilas) chief Chirag Paswan said consensus in alliance is essential for deciding the Bihar chief ministerial face. He confirmed that Nitish Kumar will remain the NDA’s CM candidate for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Paswan reminded that when his party rejoined the NDA, the agreement was clear that Nitish Kumar would lead. He added that no single party can dictate such decisions.

Recently, posters in Patna projecting him as a possible CM face triggered political debate. However, Paswan dismissed the speculation and stated he has no personal ambition for the post. His focus, he stressed, is on the “Bihar First, Bihari First” agenda, which aims to transform Bihar into a developed state.

Answering questions about his future claim, Paswan said this is not the right time for such discussions. The alliance, he underlined, is preparing to fight the 2025 elections unitedly under Nitish Kumar’s leadership. His remarks show the NDA’s effort to avoid internal rifts and project unity ahead of the polls.
