The deceased, identified as Premnarayan Baghel, suffered severe electric burns while operating a motor pump in Pahadi Rawat village under Tharet police station limits. Family members immediately rushed him toward Indergarh hospital on a tractor. However, heavy congestion near the Bavri Sarkar temple brought their vehicle to a complete halt.

Despite repeated efforts, the tractor could not move forward. Precious time slipped away as the victim’s condition worsened rapidly. With no option left, the family placed Premnarayan on a cot and carried him on foot toward the hospital.

Doctors declared him dead upon arrival. Medical officials confirmed that his pulse and blood pressure had already stopped before he reached the facility. Doctors stated that timely medical attention could have saved his life.

The incident has triggered fresh outrage over Indergarh’s chronic traffic problem. Relatives accused the administration of ignoring repeated warnings. They said traffic jams occur daily, yet no permanent solution exists. Locals also recalled earlier incidents where ambulances remained stuck in congestion, leading to avoidable deaths.

The tragedy has renewed demands for urgent traffic reforms to prevent further loss of life.
