]]> Nitish Kumar oath record shows how unique his political journey has been. Nitish Kumar has taken the oath of office 25 times in a career that started in 1985. He became Chief Minister 10 times in the last 20 years, which makes him one of India’s longest-serving CMs.
Nitish Kumar oath record also includes many other roles. He took oath as an MLA for the first time in 1985 from Harnaut. Even though he won the Assembly again in 1995, he stayed in national politics as a Lok Sabha MP. Because of this, he missed one chance to take oath as an MLA.

From 1989 onward, Nitish took oath as an MP several times—five times from Barh and once from Nalanda. During this period, he also took oath four times as a Union Minister. He served as Agriculture Minister, Railway Minister, and Road Transport Minister.

After 2005, when he became Bihar CM, Nitish chose the Legislative Council. He has been sworn in as an MLC four times—in 2006, 2012, 2018, and 2024. His current term as MLC runs until 2030.
