]]> The Telangana Congress has accelerated its efforts to fill long-pending nominated posts, and the move immediately energised party leaders across the state. As the government enters its third year, the leadership wants to strengthen the organisation before the upcoming local body and municipal elections. Therefore, TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud announced that the party will complete appointments for working presidents, spokespersons and corporation chairpersons within this month.

Recently, the Congress finalised district president posts ahead of the panchayat polls. Moreover, AICC observers toured several districts and gathered feedback from local leaders to shape the next phase of appointments. After the Jubilee Hills bypoll, the party filled almost all DCC chief positions, except in Ranga Reddy and Sangareddy. Consequently, the focus has now shifted to nominated posts, mainly for leaders who narrowly missed election tickets.

Senior leaders are intensely tracking the developments because the working president posts hold significant organisational value. Additionally, discussions within the party hint at appointing four or five working presidents to ensure wider social representation. As a result, aspirants from multiple communities have started lobbying aggressively.

In the coming days, Gandhi Bhavan is expected to witness high activity. Furthermore, panchayat poll results may influence the final picks, since the leadership plans to prioritise leaders who deliver strong performances in their constituencies.
