From today, NTR Health Services have been suspended across Andhra Pradesh, as network hospitals decided to halt treatments under the scheme due to non-payment of pending dues by the state government. The hospitals announced the suspension on Thursday, citing that the government owes them nearly ₹2,700 crore.

Despite multiple appeals and meetings with public representatives, the hospitals said they received no concrete assurance or payments, forcing them to take this decision. Health Minister Satyakumar urged hospital managements not to stop medical services and assured that the issue would be resolved soon, but the network hospitals refused to withdraw their protest.

The suspension is expected to affect thousands of poor patients who depend on the NTR health scheme for free medical care, highlighting a growing crisis in the state’s healthcare system and the urgent need for government intervention.
