The Easwari School of Liberal Arts at SRM University-AP hosted the first-ever Amaravati Literature Festival (ALF) 2025 under the theme “Kotha Nagaram, Kotha Svaralu” (New City, New Voices). The three-day event brought together writers, poets, and artists from across India to celebrate creativity, diversity, and cultural exchange.

Renowned Telugu author and Sahitya Akademi Award winner Volga inaugurated the festival as the guest of honour. She praised ALF as a festival that unites languages and communities through literature. “Indian literature tells one human story — of love, pain, and resilience,” she said. Dean Prof. Vishnupad described ALF as Amaravati’s first literary heartbeat, emphasizing literature’s power to shape intellect and ethics.

Prof. Ch. Satish, Vice-Chancellor (I/C), highlighted literature’s ability to preserve emotion beyond recorded history. The day featured lively panels with writers P. Satyavathi, Manisha Sobhrajani, Pavan Santosh, and Millo Ankha, who discussed gender and politics in modern writing.

An exclusive session with poet Kadali Satyanarayana explored evolving women’s voices in Telugu literature. SRM University-AP announced that ALF would become an annual event promoting inclusivity, empathy, and creative dialogue through literature, art, and discussion.
