Renowned Telugu author and Sahitya Akademi Award winner Volga inaugurated the festival as the guest of honour. She praised ALF as a festival that unites languages and communities through literature. “Indian literature tells one human story — of love, pain, and resilience,” she said. Dean Prof. Vishnupad described ALF as Amaravati’s first literary heartbeat, emphasizing literature’s power to shape intellect and ethics.

Prof. Ch. Satish, Vice-Chancellor (I/C), highlighted literature’s ability to preserve emotion beyond recorded history. The day featured lively panels with writers P. Satyavathi, Manisha Sobhrajani, Pavan Santosh, and Millo Ankha, who discussed gender and politics in modern writing.

An exclusive session with poet Kadali Satyanarayana explored evolving women’s voices in Telugu literature. SRM University-AP announced that ALF would become an annual event promoting inclusivity, empathy, and creative dialogue through literature, art, and discussion.
