Google’s Pixel smartphones, often considered the flagship of the Android ecosystem, have faced performance and connectivity issues in past iterations, including this year’s Pixel 10 series. According to a recent leak from tipster Mystic Leaks on Telegram, Google may address one major concern in the upcoming Pixel 11 series by changing its modem supplier.

Currently, the Pixel devices rely on Samsung’s Exynos 5400 modem for connectivity. For the Pixel 11 series, which will feature the new Tensor G6 chipset, Google is reportedly planning to adopt MediaTek’s M90 modem. The M90 supports download speeds of up to 12Gbps, dual 5G SIMs, and satellite connectivity, potentially offering faster and more reliable performance than previous models.

This follows a similar change in the Pixel 10 series, where Google shifted from Samsung to TSMC’s 3nm process for the Tensor G5 chipset. Despite that upgrade, the Pixel 10 still lags behind competitors in benchmarks, with the Pixel 10 Pro scoring 2,280 in single-core and 6,090 in multi-core tests on Geekbench, compared to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 2,855 and 9,461, respectively.

The Pixel 11 lineup is expected to mirror the Pixel 10 series, likely including a base model, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. While details on other enhancements of the Tensor G6 are still under wraps, users can anticipate notable performance improvements over the G5.

Pricing for the new series may remain similar to the Pixel 10 range, which launched in India starting at Rs 79,999 for the base model, Rs 1,09,999 for the 10 Pro, Rs 1,24,999 for the 10 Pro XL, and Rs 1,72,999 for the 10 Pro Fold.
