Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate India’s fully indigenous 4G stack. Over 97,500 Swadeshi BSNL towers will be launched to enhance digital connectivity nationwide. The rollout is expected to ensure 100 per cent 4G coverage across India, benefiting every citizen.

The towers will be set up across states including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Assam, Gujarat, and Bihar. Celebrating 25 years of BSNL, Scindia called it a landmark moment for the country’s telecom sector. The initiative reflects India’s journey towards Atmanirbhar Bharat, promoting self-reliance and technological independence.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs 60,000 crore in Jharsuguda, Odisha. These projects span telecommunications, railways, higher education, healthcare, skill development, and rural housing. Modi is scheduled to address a public gathering during the event.

The indigenous 4G stack was developed in just 22 months, showcasing India’s capability to design and implement technology domestically. Telecom Secretary Neeraj Mittal noted that India is the world’s largest telecom market, with 5G users projected to rise to 770 million by 2028. This initiative positions India alongside global telecom leaders like Denmark, Sweden, South Korea, and China.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Friday highlighted two key nutrition initiatives. These are Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0.

In a post on X, the PMO praised Union Minister Annapurna Devi’s article on integrated nutrition support. The programmes aim to improve nutrition for children, adolescent girls, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.

The initiatives focus on addressing malnutrition with better content and efficient delivery. They also build an ecosystem that promotes wellness and immunity.

“Millions benefit through Anganwadi centers across India,” the PMO said. “Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 are improving nutrition every day.”

Union Minister Annapurna Devi stressed the vast reach of Anganwadi services. Nearly 14 lakh centers are active, serving close to 10 crore beneficiaries. Over eight crore of these are children.

The ministry works on the principle of “one meal at a time.” This ensures consistent nutritional support for families.

Poshan 2.0 also seeks to develop human capital. It encourages good eating habits and addresses deficiencies that affect long-term health.

These efforts aim to create lasting awareness. Together, they strengthen India’s fight against malnutrition and support healthier futures for children and mothers.
