On April 10, 1995, Tamil Nadu witnessed a rare political flashpoint involving the state Governor. Governor M. Channa Reddy was travelling from Raj Bhavan to Pondicherry when his convoy was stopped near Tindivanam. Members of the ruling AIADMK allegedly pelted eggs and stones at the convoy, raising serious concerns.

The protesters were reportedly led by S.S. Panneerselvam, then a district party secretary. They opposed Governor Reddy’s interaction with Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy, who had sought legal action against Chief Minister Jayalalithaa over corruption allegations. The convoy remained halted for over 15 minutes at a major junction.

Governor Reddy contacted the district police chief and instructed officials to clear the road. Police later stated that eggs and stones were thrown but did not hit the vehicles. The incident occurred amid known tensions between the Governor and the Jayalalithaa-led government.

The Governor later sent a report to the Centre, alleging political interference and police support for the protest. Jayalalithaa rejected the claims and urged the President and Prime Minister to recall the Governor, accusing him of bias and misreporting state affairs.

RJD is hell, said a BJP leader while making a sharp attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar. He claimed that frustration inside the RJD has grown so much that even one of its MLAs wants to leave the party and join the ruling NDA camp.

The statement came soon after JD(U) leaders also hinted that several RJD legislators are unhappy with their leadership. According to the BJP leader, many MLAs feel ignored and believe they cannot work freely while staying in the opposition.

He said RJD leaders focus only on family politics and power struggles. Development issues, he added, take a back seat. This situation has created anger among party MLAs, pushing some to explore other political options.

The BJP leader further claimed that NDA leaders are in contact with dissatisfied RJD lawmakers. He said such leaders want to serve people better and see the NDA as a stable option.

RJD strongly rejected the allegations. Party leaders said the claims are baseless and meant to distract attention from governance issues. They accused the BJP and JD(U) of spreading rumours to create confusion.

Political analysts say such statements reflect rising political tension in Bihar as parties prepare for upcoming elections.

Political tensions in Telangana have escalated as a sharp war of words continues between Jagruti president Kalvakuntla Kavitha and senior BRS leaders. Kavitha’s recent allegations have triggered strong counterattacks from the BRS camp. As a result, several former ministers and MLAs have openly criticised her statements. The controversy has now taken a more aggressive turn.

Meanwhile, BRS MLC Takkellapalli Ravinder Rao made harsh remarks during a television debate. He accused Kavitha of crossing limits and attacking public representatives, families, and the party. Furthermore, he said there was no need to show restraint anymore. He warned that Kavitha would face public retaliation if she continued such statements.

In addition, Ravinder Rao alleged that Kavitha insulted women through her language. He questioned how long restraint should be maintained against such behaviour. Responding to Kavitha’s “test match” comment, he dismissed it outright. He also said that giving her importance would damage the party’s image.

Moreover, Ravinder Rao questioned why Kavitha avoided discussing Congress government promises and public issues. He expressed anger over her comments against the BRS leadership. Finally, he stated that personal attacks on elected representatives harm democratic values and lower political standards.

The Kadapa Mayor by-election is turning unpredictable with new twists each day. YSRCP leaders increased lobbying after the government removed the former mayor over corruption allegations. Several leaders are competing to gain control of the post. Each faction is pushing strategies to secure an advantage. Their internal rivalry has created political tension inside the Kadapa Municipal Corporation.

TDP appears likely to stay out of the contest. The party prefers a neutral approach for now. However, political groups believe TDP may indirectly support a favourable YSRCP candidate if needed. Meanwhile, discussions continue over the disqualification of former mayor Suresh Babu. He is fighting the case in the High Court and filed a lunch-motion petition challenging the decision.

The temporary duties are with Deputy Mayor Mumtaz Begum. The election process gained pace after the Election Commission issued the notification. Authorities scheduled a special council meeting on December 11 at the municipal office. All corporators received official invitations. The new mayor will be chosen at 11 a.m. This announcement triggered fresh excitement in Kadapa politics.

The corporation has 50 seats. YSRCP holds 40 after several defections. Only one seat belongs to TDP and one to an Independent. Aspirants within YSRCP intensified lobbying as the term ends on March 18. Analysts believe the High Court ruling may decide who finally claims the mayor’s chair.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is set to travel to Bengaluru tonight. He will leave from the Shamshabad International Airport in a special flight. His visit has gained importance due to rising tensions inside the Karnataka Congress. Senior leaders are waiting to brief him on the situation.

Political friction in Karnataka has increased in recent weeks. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar are locked in a leadership dispute. Their supporters have also taken firm positions. The conflict has created discomfort for the Congress leadership in Delhi.

The high command is monitoring the situation closely. It has asked Revanth Reddy to reach Bengaluru and meet key leaders. Discussions are expected on power-sharing issues and party unity. The leadership wants a quick resolution to prevent further damage.

Revanth Reddy is likely to hold back-to-back meetings tonight. His role is viewed as crucial because of his influence and his recent coordination with the central leadership. Party sources say that he may convey strong instructions from Delhi to calm the situation. His intervention is expected to shape the next steps in the Karnataka Congress.

Vote counting continued for the Jubilee Hills by-election, which drew interest across Telangana. Congress candidate Naveen Yadav kept a steady lead from the first round. By the end of the eighth round, his majority crossed 22,000 votes. Only two rounds remained, and BJP candidate Lankala Deepak Reddy received nearly 9,100 votes. The gap surprised many as the BJP holds power at the Centre.

Deepak Reddy left the counting centre after the seventh round. Later, he spoke to the media and raised strong concerns. He said the election saw heavy money flow and misuse of power. He also claimed that the final three rounds would favour the BJP. Despite the low numbers, he expressed hope that he would secure his deposit.

The BJP candidate also criticised the ruling party for influencing the process. He stated that voters observed these issues throughout the campaign. He added that the party would review the entire polling pattern after the results.

Meanwhile, Congress supporters celebrated early trends. They expected a clear victory for Naveen Yadav as his lead kept increasing. With only a few rounds left, the by-election generated high political tension in Hyderabad. Both parties prepared for the final results and possible post-counting statements.

The Jubilee Hills by-election in Telangana has created political tension. Exit polls suggest Congress may win the seat with a 6-8% lead, surprising many who expected BRS to dominate. Polling trends and survey predictions shifted dramatically in the final stages, adding uncertainty to the race.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy played a key role for Congress. He actively campaigned with roadshows, bike rallies, and ground-level coordination, reversing BRS’s early advantage. Political analysts say his strategies helped sway voters and reduced BRS’s opportunities.

The bypoll saw intense competition among Congress, BRS, and BJP. Campaigning in the last three days turned highly aggressive. Political observers believe the results could influence Telangana’s future political landscape. BJP votes reportedly shifted towards BRS, yet Congress maintained a strong edge according to exit polls.

While exit polls favor Congress, the final result will be declared on November 14. BRS leaders continue to analyze strategies and voter behavior. The race highlights how local leadership, campaign intensity, and voter sentiment can dramatically alter election outcomes. Political enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting official counting to see who truly wins Jubilee Hills.

Political tensions in Telangana have escalated as a heated verbal clash erupts between MLAs Madhavaram Krishna Rao and Arekapudi Gandhi. Both leaders have been trading allegations for several days, accusing each other of illegal land dealings and property irregularities.

Responding sharply on Sunday, MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao challenged Gandhi’s remarks and demanded a probe into both their assets. He said he was ready to face any inquiry and punishment if found guilty of encroaching government land. Rao urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to order a fair investigation.

Rao further accused Gandhi of owning vast land parcels, claiming Gandhi possessed 500 acres in Kurnool and 200 acres in Mahbubnagar. He dared Gandhi to face an official probe into his estate holdings and suggested starting the inquiry from Gandhi’s properties.

The war of words has intensified political discussions across Telangana. Party members and political observers are now waiting to see how the BRS leadership will react to the escalating feud between its two key legislators.
