According to school authorities, Srivarsha had returned to school on Thursday after the Diwali vacation. The staff rushed to the dormitory after being alerted by students but found her unresponsive. She was a native of Rangapur village in Huzurabad mandal and a Class X student of Gurukulam School.

Reports said Srivarsha had called her parents earlier in the morning and requested them to take her home. Although they assured her that they would, she ended her life shortly after the call. The reason for her distress is yet to be determined.

Police visited the school, registered a case, and shifted the body to a local hospital for postmortem. They said an investigation is underway to find out what led the student to take such an extreme step.
