The newly arrested individuals include Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganai from Pulwama (J&K), Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather from Anantnag (J&K), Dr Shaheen Saeed from Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), and Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay from Shopian (J&K). Three are medical professionals, while the fourth is a religious preacher. The Patiala House Court granted custody to the NIA, which took the suspects into Srinagar for interrogation.

State prosecutors highlighted that the blast was meticulously planned, involving a combination of local and cross-border operatives. Authorities are interrogating the accused to identify all links and uncover the broader conspiracy behind the attack. Earlier, the NIA had arrested Amir Rashid Ali and Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish, linked to the explosives-laden Hyundai i20 used in the blast and the attempted recruitment of a potential suicide bomber. On Tuesday, Wani was remanded to 10 days of NIA custody by a special NIA court at Patiala House.

According to the agency, the suspects are part of a white-collar terror module dismantled by Jammu & Kashmir police in coordination with authorities in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. During the investigation, a lead emerged from Al Falah University in Faridabad, where 2,900 kg of explosives were recovered.

The NIA, which formally took over the case on 11 November, continues to probe multiple angles, including financing, recruitment, and logistical support, as investigators work to dismantle the terror network entirely.
